Mentoring & MatchingVolunteeringAttendance & HoursDues & GivingBudgets & Grants

Your people showed up.Now put a number on it.

One system for mentoring, volunteering, attendance, membership and the money — for companies and community organizations alike. Everything the people in your programs do, on one record, ending in a figure you can defend.

No card, no sales call. Most organizations publish their first event within 30 minutes.

Raise more

Raise more without finding new donors.

Most of the giving an organization misses is already in its own records. Tallyside finds it — lapsed donors, one-off gifts worth asking to make monthly, payments that failed on an expired card, gifts an employer will match — and keeps track of who was asked, so nobody is asked twice or quietly forgotten.

Prove it

Turn participation into a figure you can defend.

Every volunteer hour valued at the rate for the year it was served, dues and giving on the same record as the people who show up, and every number traceable to the query behind it — which is what a funder, a board or a finance team actually asks for.

Run it

And run the programs behind both.

Mentoring and mentor matching, corporate volunteering, attendance and hours, membership and dues — for companies and community organizations alike, on one record instead of four systems reconciled by hand.

Seven of seven

Everything the category calls essential.

Corporate volunteering software is usually judged on seven things. Tallyside does all seven — and the membership, mentoring and money besides.

  • Event management. One-off, a recurring weekly pattern, multi-day, or built from a template — and copy one day's shifts across a whole term in ten seconds.

  • Registration and scheduling. Employees browse and sign up themselves. Capacity, waitlists that promote automatically, and teams that register together as a group.

  • Volunteer profiles. Skills, interests, availability and full participation history — so a coordinator can match a person to the right thing rather than the next thing.

  • Hours tracking. An append-only ledger. Hours are logged, approved, and valued at the published rate for the year they were served — corrections are recorded, never overwritten.

  • Mobile — coming soon. The iOS and Android app is built and in testing: camera QR check-in, hours, reminders and push. It is not in the stores yet. The kiosk that keeps taking check-ins when the venue wifi drops, then reconciles, runs in the browser today.

  • Volunteer grants. Members who served hours and told you where they work, surfaced as a worklist — with the claim and the employer's payment tracked back to the hours that earned it.

  • Reporting. Individual and organization-wide impact, exportable, on a schedule if you want it — and every figure traces back to the query behind it.

What Tallyside actually does

Whether you run a mentoring program inside a company, a volunteer roster at a nonprofit, a membership body or a school program — it is the same record underneath.

Mentoring and matching

Match on caseload, goals and cohort, with screening and training enforced before a match can start. Session notes, goals and outcomes.

Corporate programs

Set up for an employer rather than a charity: adult participants hold their own accounts, and the guardian and consent screens a youth program needs simply do not appear.

Volunteering at scale

Teams sign up together, shifts recur, waitlists promote themselves, and the hours land valued in a ledger a sponsor will accept.

Attendance and hours

QR check-in on a kiosk or a phone that keeps working when the wifi does not, then reconciles. Corrections are logged, never overwritten.

Money, planned and projected

Budgets and variance, restricted funds, dues and standing, giving and grant deadlines — plus a cash flow projection and a seasonal revenue view that decline to answer for any month they cannot substantiate. Every figure traces back to a query.

Messages and notices

Conversations inside the organization with an inbox and unread counts, beside the shift reminders, receipts and compliance alerts that reach members by email automatically.

Where the money is

Six kinds of giving most organizations never collect

None of it needs a new donor, a campaign or a consultant. It is already in your records — it just has nobody watching for it.

Donors who could give monthly

A one-off donor asked to give monthly is worth several times what they gave once. Tallyside picks out who is worth asking, and you decide who to ask.

Gifts that failed on an expired card

Recurring gifts die quietly when a card expires, and nobody notices for months. These surface as a worklist instead of as a gap in next year's total.

Gifts an employer will match

Matching money goes unclaimed constantly because nobody connects the donor to where they work. We know both, so the prompt writes itself.

Donors who quietly stopped

Winning back someone who already gave is the cheapest money in fundraising. Lapsed donors are listed with when they last gave and what they used to give.

Grant reports before they are late

A missed report costs the renewal, and the renewal is usually worth more than the grant. Deadlines sit on a calendar with the grant they belong to.

Dues you are owed

An append-only dues ledger and good standing, so you can see who has paid, who has not, and what that is worth this quarter.

Tallyside finds these and tracks who was asked — so nobody is asked twice, and nobody is forgotten. You keep collecting the money however you collect it today.

How Tallyside works

Three steps from an empty account to a report a funder will take seriously.

1

Set up your organization

Name it, pick your time zone, and you have a real space you can run an event in — without talking to anybody here. Two minutes, no card, no sales call.

2

Your people show up

Publish shifts, let members sign up from their phone, and check them in with a QR code at the door. It keeps working when the building has no signal and syncs when you reconnect.

3

Put a number on it

Hours, dollars, dues and giving come out of one ledger — by member, by program, by date range — as a report you can hand to a funder or export to a spreadsheet.

Start here

The question your current system can’t answer

“How many hours did we serve last year — and what were they worth?”

Most organizations can answer half of it. The hours are in one system and the money is in another, and joining them up is somebody’s weekend with a spreadsheet. Tallyside keeps them on one record, so the answer is a report instead of a project.

And the version you actually get asked

  • “How many Saturdays has this student attended, across four years?”

    Youth and after-school programs

  • “Who is current on their screening this July?”

Anyone who screens adults working with children

  • “Who is in good standing, and eligible to vote?”

    Chapters and membership bodies

  • “Do the people who volunteer for us also give to us?”

Anyone raising money from their own community

Everything on one record

Membership, participation and money in one system, instead of two you reconcile by hand.

Hours become dollars

Every hour is valued at the national rate for the year it was served — not this year's rate applied backward. Last year's report says the same thing next year.

Reports a funder will accept

Total hours and their value, by member, program and date range. Save the ones you run monthly and have them arrive in your inbox on a schedule.

See it

Dues, donors and giving on one roster

Membership classes and good standing, a dues ledger, donor records grouped into households, a giving page and receipting — attached to the same people who show up.

See it

Funds, restrictions and budgets

Restricted and unrestricted funds kept apart, budgets set against real categories, and actuals measured against them. Money is tracked to the cent.

See it

Every number traces to a query

No figure on a screen is a guess. Each one has a definition that lives in exactly one place, so two reports can't quietly disagree about what an hour is.

See it

Attendance that survives an audit

Records are append-only. A correction writes a new row with who made it and why, and every record keeps how it was verified. A spreadsheet cannot do that.

Build one day, copy the term

Set up one Saturday and copy it across the whole season in seconds — the single most-repeated complaint about the systems you're replacing.

See it

Apps for iPhone and Android

Real native apps, not a website in a frame. Members see their shifts, their hours and what they add up to; coordinators scan people in with the camera. Built for the two places phones matter — the door, and the bus home.

See it

Check-in with no signal

Scan people in on a tablet in a basement with no bars. It queues locally and syncs when you're back — proven on real hardware, mid-event.

See it

Safeguarding you can't switch off

An adult cannot hold an active match with a child until they're cleared, and a lapsed clearance stops it. Enforced in the database, not by a checkbox.

Members, events, attendance, hours and giving — as spreadsheets, on demand, without asking us for permission or waiting on a support ticket.

Why people leave what they have

The same six complaints, about every product in this category

These are not our talking points. They are what shows up in reviews of the systems you are probably using — so we built against them on purpose.

“Reporting is inflexible and cannot answer real questions”Effectively universal — it hits every vendor examined
Reporting is the first thing we built, not an export button. Hours, dollars, dues and giving by member, program and date range — saved, scheduled, and traceable to the query behind them.
“Recurring and multi-day shift creation is broken”The most-repeated operational complaint in the market
Build one Saturday and copy it across the whole season in seconds. Multi-day events, templates, and a real recurrence rule rather than a workaround.
“Setup takes months and needs a technical staffer”Named as an acute failure across the category
Most organizations publish their first event within thirty minutes of signing up. No implementation call, no onboarding fee, no technical staffer.
“Check-in fails without connectivity”Reported wherever events happen in real buildings
Scan people in on a tablet in a basement with no bars. It queues locally and syncs when you reconnect — proven on real hardware, mid-event.
“Free-tier features migrate behind the paywall over time”A named complaint, and a small, gossipy market
Unlimited members and unlimited administrators on the free tier, and flat pricing per organization. Adding a coordinator never costs you anything.
“Mobile apps are weak, buggy, or absent”Common enough to be a category-wide joke
We build native iOS and Android apps rather than a wrapped website — a member sees their shifts, hours and impact, and a coordinator scans people in with the camera. ⚠️ The apps are in testing and not in the stores yet; the store listings are coming soon. Everything else runs in the browser today, including the check-in kiosk, which keeps scanning when the building has no signal.

Most organizations are more than one of these

A chapter that also mentors, also runs volunteer days, and also collects dues isn’t three organizations — and shouldn’t be three systems. Use the parts you run. They all land on the same roster.

Volunteer programs
Events, shifts, capacity, waitlists, recurring schedules, QR check-in, an hour ledger, and reports your funder will accept.
Chapters and membership bodies
Dues, membership classes and good standing. Points, excuses and appeals. Team fundraising pages with leaderboards, on the same roster.
Mentoring and one-to-one programs
Matches, session notes, goals and outcomes — on the same roster as attendance and giving, instead of in a second system bought separately.
Programs serving young people
Guardians, consent and safeguarding built in, with clearance enforced before an adult is ever matched with a child.
Organizations with members and volunteers
Congregations, museums, alumni and professional bodies: membership, participation and giving on one record instead of two reconciled by hand.
Employers running community programs
Teams sign up together, hours are valued, and the report your sponsor wants comes out of the same ledger everyone else uses.

Running four of these at once is the normal case, not the edge case. It is the reason this exists.

Priced per organization. Never per person.

Not per member, not per admin, not per contact. Add a second coordinator and the price doesn’t move — because the people you’d hesitate to give access to are exactly the ones whose access makes the data good.

Relational and Impact scale with your size

Not with your headcount. We never charge per member, per volunteer or per administrator — the people you would hesitate to give access to are exactly the ones whose access makes the data good. So the paid tiers scale on annual operating revenue instead, which is the one number that says what an organization can afford and that we do not move.

You tell us the band when you start, and we check it once a year. Free and Core are the same price at any size. Moving from another system is a one-time cost and only applies if you have records to bring — most organizations have none. Those are the rates today.

Campaigns, committees and advocacy groups

A canvass is a shift. A phone bank is a shift. A poll watcher is somebody with a credential and an assignment. All of that runs on the same tiers above — Civic adds the part that is specific to electoral work.

Civic — $100/mo, added to Core or above

  • Districts and precincts, and turf on a shift
  • Poll watcher credentialing — appointment, oath, training, filed with the election office
  • Canvass, phone bank, text bank and literature drop, ready to schedule

A committee running a field program pays $199 — Core at $99 plus Civic at $100 — with unlimited organizers.

Start free. A volunteer-run local race runs on Community at $0 — unlimited members, QR check-in and the kiosk included. If you grow into Relational or Impact, we size a committee on the people you are reaching rather than on what you raised, because a campaign has no steady annual revenue and should not change bands because an election happened.

Keep the fundraising platform you have. Most committees should — we are not trying to replace it. If you would rather run contributions here too, limits, best efforts and disclosure come with Impact.

We work with committees of any party, and we do not choose who we serve by affiliation. We are the software; your money goes straight to your own account, and we never touch it.

Flat per organization, never per person. Adding a coordinator, a volunteer or a member never changes your bill. Annual billing saves about 30%. No setup fee — the mentoring platforms charge $200 to $5,000 to start, and we charge nothing. Prices are in US dollars and exclude payment-processing fees, which go to the processor, not to us. Paid plans are not on sale yet — they open as each tier’s features finish, and the prices above are what they will be. Community is self-serve today; talk to us if you need more than it covers, and nothing you have already put in has to move.

Two ways in

You run an organization

Set it up yourself, right now. You’ll have an organization, your own account as its owner, and a space that can run a real event — without talking to anybody here.

Start your organization

We email you a link to sign in. It can take a minute to arrive, so give it a moment before asking for another.

You belong to one

You can’t add yourself to someone else’s organization — your organization approves you. There are three ways in:

  • They already added you. Set up your account with the email they used.
  • You have a join code or a QR poster. Scanning it puts you in front of a coordinator to approve.
  • You were sent an invitation. Follow the link in it.
